Hello to everyone out there in Cyber Land! I know I said that my next blog post would be on the ER finale, but to be honest I haven't had time yet. I have watched it (and cried) but won't be able to post my full blog post review for about another week. My reason? I am currently trying to find Travel Insurance for my mother.

As many of you may be aware, my mother has had a bit of trouble and in just over the last year she has had a lot of problems with her health. She has the following conditions, which make it harder for her to get insurance.
· Diabetes (Type 2)
· Breast Cancer (Just over a year ago, but she is ok now)
· Asthma
· Gall stones
All of these make it harder for her to get insurance, especially the cancer. The reason she needs the insurance? For my 21st I have asked her and both of my sisters, to go with me to New York for 5 days. I have found a website for Cancer sufferers, and they have a forum with over 15 pages of people saying which company's they used for travel and I have started to make my way through there in the hope of finding some company which we can use. So far we have had quotes of £365 and £725. Which is a lot considering that the 5 days away will only be costing £605.

I am slowly working my way through all of the messages, but everyone is heartbreaking. There is one that brought tears to my eyes, here it is:-
Hello,
But the thing that makes this so sad is that my husband is dying we may never reach another Anniversary milestone (26 years if we are lucky) he has lost all the things he loved so much driving, playing his guitar & even mowing the lawn (not that he liked doing that but you get my jist) because this cancer disables you as well & now travel, there are very few places in the World he has ever wanted to go to but Rome was one (we had been to Southern Italy before he was ill) but we had saved Rome for a special occasion & now he will never get to go there & see this or any other places because he has cancer…….what else can he lose…!
Jane
Ps: we did have a lovely Anniversary in London if you were wondering.
After reading so many upsetting stories I see that something has to be done about it. I think I'll have to look into it with more depth, but something has to be done. After all doesn't everyone deserve a holiday>?<
